Marcus Rashford Has Broken His Silence After Owen Hargreaves Suggested The Englishman Was Fuming

Manchester United bounced back from defeat to Liverpool in spectacular fashion as they brushed aside Tottenham Hotspurs 3-0.

And the result was the final nail in the coffin for Nuno Espirito Santo, who was dismissed from his role on Monday morning.

However, Rashford didn’t feature in the clash until the 71st minute, when he came off the bench to score United’s third of the game.

But Rashford has hit out at Hargreaves suggesting that he wasn’t ‘fuming’ after being left on the bench at the start.

“I think you could see that in his celebration, he was fuming,” the former United midfielder told Premier League Productions.

“But when two legends of the game are playing ahead of you it’s hard to complain in a sense.

“He [Ole Gunnar Solskjaer] is never going to drop Ronaldo, he needed somebody else in there and Cavani was fabulous last season. He probably deserved to start sooner.”

But Rashford responded to the claim on Twitter: “Fuming at the manager??! We won the game that celebration was pure relief! It’s been a hard week…”

Rashford has struggled to break back into the United first-team after he underwent surgery following Euro 2020.

And the Englishman has only featured in three Premier League games so far this season, finding the net twice.

Solskjaer opted to change up the formation against Spurs, the Norwegian went with a 3-5-2, allowing United to play with two strikers.
