
After a broadcast light on actual awards, it was revealed that Megan Thee Stallion and Roddy Ricch won big On Tuesday, Oct. 27, BET airs their annual award show celebrating hip-hop.
Now in its 15th year, DaBaby leads with 12 nominations. Roddy Ricch is behind him with 11. And Drake and Megan Thee Stallion both earned eight nominations. Notably, the nominees for Best New Hip Hop Artist are Flo Milli, Jack Harlow, Mulatto, NLE Choppa, Rod Wave, and the late Pop Smoke, who won the award. During the ceremony, countless artists performed including Lil Baby, City Girls, Burna Boy and Chris Martin, Mega The Stallion, and more.
Beyond the performances and cyphers, very few actual awards were presented during the broadcast. Most of them—including Best Hip Hop Video, Hip Hop Album of the Year, Hip Hop Artist of the Year, and more—were announced online. Winners this year included Megan Thee Stallion, Beyoncé, Drake, Roddy Ricch, Future, Pop Smoke, and more. Snoop Dogg presented Master P this year’s I Am Hip Hop Award.
